vertebral column: the spinal column.

thorax: the middle of three distinct divisions in an insect, crustacean or arachnid body

sternum: The breastbone.

ribs: a series of curved bones that are articulated with the vertebrae and occur in pairs, 12 in humans, on each side of the vertebrate body, certain pairs being connected with the sternum and forming the thoracic wall.

occipital bone: The bone at the back of the skull.

parietal bone: Either of two bones that together form the sides and top of the skull.

frontal bone: The bone of the forehead.

temporal bone: Either of two compound bones that collectively make up the sides and base of the skull.

sphenoid bone: A compound bone at the base of the skull behind the eyes.

ethmoid bone: The bone of the skull between the eyes and at the roof of the nose.

lacrimal bone: The smallest and most fragile bone of the face situated near the eye.

zygomatic bone: The cheekbone.

palatine bone: Either of the two bones that make up the hard palate and situated at the rear of the nasal cavity.

inferior nasal concha: The largest of the three nasal concha located within the nasal cavity.

vomer: The vomer bone.

hyoid bone: A bone in the human neck which supports the tongue.

clavicle: The prominent bone between the shoulder and the neck.

scapula: Either of the two large, flat, bones forming the back of the shoulder.

humerus: The bone of the upper arm.

ulna: The bone of the forearm that extends from the elbow to the wrist on the side opposite to the thumb, corresponding to the fibula of the hind limb. Also, the corresponding bone in the forelimb of any vertebrate.

carpus: The group of bones that make up the wrist.

metacarpus: The five bones that form intermediate part of the hand between the fingers and the wrist.

hip bone: One of the two bones that form the sides of the pelvis.

pelvis: The large compound bone structure at the base of the spine that supports the legs. It consists of hip bone, sacrum and coccyx.

femur: A thighbone.

patella: The sesamoid bone of the knee; the kneecap.

tibia: The inner and usually the larger of the two bones of the leg or hind limb below the knee.

fibula: The smaller of the two bones in the lower leg, the calf bone.

tarsus: The part of the foot between the tibia and fibula and the metatarsus.

metatarsus: The five bones that form the intermediate part of the foot between the toes and the ankle.
