All terms in this list:
Newton’s First Law of Motion: States that an object tends to remain at rest or in motion unless acted on by an outside force.
Newton’s Second Law of Motion: States that the acceleration of a body is directly proportional to the force applied and inversely proportional to its mass.
Newton’s Third Law of Motion: States that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Inertia: The resistance of a stationary object to being moved and the resistance of a moving object to changing its direction and speed.
Gravity: Force of attraction.
Friction: Resistance to motion.
Balanced forces: Two or more forces are equally strong and exert force in the opposite direction.
Unbalanced Forces: Forces which are not being balanced by a force of equal strength and in opposite direction.
Equilibrium: When conditions are constant in all locations.
Newtons: Units of gravitational force.
Center of Mass: The point at which the pull of gravity of an object is considered concentrated.
Force: A push or pull; something that changes the motion of an object.
