Badger: to harass a lot / the kids were known to badger their parents.
benevolent: doing good / The kid was benevolent because he always did the right thing.
elapse: to pass or to slip by / As time elapsed, the kids began to grow worried about there mom still at the grocery store
fitful: starting and stopping some / because he was tired he has a fitful night of moving and tossing around in bed.
genre: A kind; a stylistic category or sort, especially of literature or other artworks / of many genres of books =, my favorite is comical
haven: A place of safety; a refuge or sanctuary/ The man found a safe haven at his brothers home.
immaterial: Irrelevant / the man was so immaterial that he changed the subject every minute
innate: Inborn; native; natural; as, innate vigor; innate eloquence / the boy was born to be innate in math and science.
kindle: To arouse or inspire (a passion, etc) / the man kindled a fire in the wilderness.
listless: Lacking energy, enthusiasm or liveliness / the listless child was so tired he went to bed early!
meager: Having little flesh; lean; thin / the mans job had a meager salary of 10 dollars an hour.
octagenarian: One who is between the ages of 80 and 89, inclusive / my grandpa is an octogenarian.
permeate: To enter and spread through; to pervade / the house caught on fire and it permeated fast throughout the house
republic: A state where sovereignty rests with the people or their representatives, rather than with a monarch or emperor; a country with no monarchy. / the republic of china is a place,
tether: a rope, cable etc. that holds something in place whilst allowing some movement / they had to tether the dag to a pole to keep the dog from running off.
