obviate: To bypass a requirement or make it unnecessary.

suspension of disbelief: People's acceptance, for the sake of appreciation of art (including literature and the like), of what they know to be a nonfactual premise of the work of art.

exposition: The action of putting something out to public view; for example in a display or show.

beleaguered: Plagued; beset by trouble or difficulty.

opaque: allowing little light to pass through, not translucent or transparent.

buzzword: A word drawn from or imitative of technical jargon, and often rendered meaningless and fashionable through abuse by non-technical persons in a seeming show of familiarity with the subject.

confluence: The act of combining which occurs at the place where rivers and the like meet.

loquacious: Talkative or chatty, especially of persons given to excess conversation.

veer: To change direction or course suddenly; to swerve.

quagmire: A perilous, mixed up and troubled situation; a hopeless tangle; a predicament.

cynosure: Something that is the center of attention; an object that serves as a focal point of attraction and admiration.

spurious: false, not authentic, not genuine
