journey: A set amount of travelling, seen as a single unit; a discrete trip, a voyage.

recreation: Any activity, such as play, that diverts, amuses or stimulates.

sundress: a light dress, typically worn in the summer, having thin straps to a bodice that exposes the shoulders and has no arms

seashore: the coastal land bordering a sea or an ocean, especially the land between low water and high water

diving: The sport of jumping head first into water.

water ski: A broad ski used for water skiing

hike: To walk along a hiking trail, especially a nature/scenic long walk, usually without overnight camping gear.

tan: A darkening of the skin resulting from exposure to sunlight or similar light sources.

frisbee: A plastic disk that is thrown with a snap of the wrist so as to spin it to aid in keeping it aloft; used for recreation.

sandcastle: A sculpture made of sand and resembling a miniature castle; typically, but not always, made for fun by a child on a beach.

season: Each of the four divisions of a year spring, summer, autumn and winter.

heat: The condition or quality of being hot.

swim cap: a silicone, latex or lycra cap worn on the head by recreational and competitive swimmers.

picnic: A meal eaten outdoors or in another informal setting.

sunscreen: a form of sunblock, often having a lower sun protection factor
