occlusion: Anything that obstructs or closes a vessel or canal.

hypothesis: A tentative conjecture explaining an observation, phenomenon or scientific problem that can be tested by further observation, investigation and/or experimentation.

investigation: the process of inquiring into or following up; research; study; inquiry, esp. patient or thorough inquiry or examination;

experiment: A test under controlled conditions made to either demonstrate a known truth, examine the validity of a hypothesis, or determine the efficacy of something previously untried.

graph: A diagram displaying data; in particular one showing the relationship between two or more quantities, measurements or indicative numbers that may or may not have a specific mathematical formula relating them to each other.

data: Plural form of datumpieces of information.

independent variable: In an equation, any variable whose value is not dependent on any other in the equation.

dependent variable: In sciences, an outcome measured to see the effectiveness of the treatment.

variable: able to vary

inference: The act or process of inferring by deduction or induction.

observation: The act of noting and recording some event; or the record of such noting.
