Edocrine System: The Endocrine System consist of many of the body organs like the Pituitary gland , pineal gland, thyroid glands, the heart, kidneys, stomach and the pancreas and the intestines.

homeostasis: The ability of a system or living organism to adjust its internal environment to maintain a stable equilibrium.

metacarpals: Five bones between the fingers and wrist.

Hypothalamus: Controls pituitary secretions, body temperture, also hunger, thirst and sex drives.

Pituitary gland: controls bone growth and regulate activity in the other endocrine glands.

Pancreas: controlls the level of sugar in the blood.

axon: the axon is a slender extension of the nerve cell. This cable is a one-way conduit from one nerve cell to the axon terminal. Each nerve cell has a single axon, but the axon may have many branches.

Synapse: A site of contact where cell-to-cell chemical communication take place.

Phalanges: finger bones.
