rainforest: selva. a forest in a climate with high annual rainfall and no dry season
river: río. A large, winding stream , carrying water down from higher areas to a lower point, ending at an ocean.
island: isla. An area of land, smaller than a continent, totally surrounded by water.
cave: cueva.A hole, depression, or gap in earth or rock, whether natural or man-made.
oasis: oasis. A well or spring of fresh water, surrounded by a fertile region of vegetation, in a desert.
lake: lago. Large, naturally occurring stretch of water.
peak: cumbre, cima, pico.The top, or one of the tops, of a hill, mountain, or range, ending in a point.
desert: desierto. Arid land with very little vegetation, very warm climate and sporadic rainfall.
volcano: volcán. A fissure on the surface of a planet with a magma chamber , periodically erupting lava and gases.
ocean: océano. One of the five large bodies of water separating the continents.
coastline: línea costera. The shape, outline, or boundary of a coast.
waterfall: cascada. A flow of water over the edge of a cliff.
cliff: acantilado. A vertical (or near vertical) rock face.
