Eyepiece: The lens (or combination of lenses) at the eye end of a microscope or telescope by which the image is viewed.
Arm: holds up the body of the microscope, use one hand around this part for transporting the microscope
Nosepiece: attachment site for the objectives
Objectives: a series tubes in various heights that contain lenses of different magnifications
Stage: the platform where the slide rests
Mechanical stage: a device attached to the stage that has a lever type arm to hold the slide in place.
Diaphragm: controls amount of light that is traveling through the hole in the stage
coarse adjustment knob: moves stage up and down.
fine adjustment knob: focuses image for detail
